Design breakthrough
NueTec OTR models stand apart from all current 'Onsite' termination HDMI & DVI solutions. The patented technology* employed by NueTec has been designed to offset the limitation of copper HDMI cables and CATx cables used in HDbaseT systems. The OTR series employs 6-channel Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology in conjunction with 850nm/980nm (OM3 MMF for 300m) & 1310nm/1550nm (SMF for 1km ) Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) diodes. This technique enables bidirectional communications over single strand of MMF/SMF fibre. The systems transmits EDID data and HDCP (DDC lines) over fibre in real time; hence significantly reducing risk of 'Handshake' errors.

Two key factors are noted: Bandwidth and electrical noise. The NueTec and OTR10 range of models are able to transmit up to 3840x2160 8bit, 4:2:0, 30Hz images at up to 1km (1000 metres).
